Round four of the 2017 Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro series took place at Crow Canyon Motorsports Club in Uhrichsville, Ohio. The picturesque 400 acre property consists of a little bit of everything from technical trails to a big boy motocross track. Because Crow Canyon is now a private club, events such as the Full Gas Sprint Enduro, EROC Hare Scramble/Moto XC, Frozen Chicken Run and Turkey Run (KTM Demo) are the only time non-members get exposure to this offroad park.
The event took place both June 18th & 19th but I was only able to be there for Saturday’s 6 tests (3 EnduroTests/3 CrossTests). While the 90 plus degree heat was brutal, and the dust on the motocross sections was all consuming at times, it had nothing to do with me cutting out from day 2’s festivities. Sunday was Father’s Day, and you know, family first!

Congratulations to Beta USA rider Jordan Ashburn for taking his first FGSE pro victory. The entire top five finished within 2 minutes 30 seconds of each other but Ashburn and SRT Racing’s Steward Baylor Jr were separated by only 1 second.
The difference between Baylor standing atop of the podium and being one step down was mostly likely the big get off that came on the final leg of the last test of day 1.
Rob Mitchell was there to catch the action.
The 2017 Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series picks back up on July 8th and 9th for the Hillbilly Sprint Enduro in Rural Retreat, Virginia.
